Check of a state and replacement of coils of ignition

Models 1993 and 1994 of of the issue.

CHECK

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. At the switched-off ignition disconnect an electrical wiring from the coil. Connect an ohmmeter between plugs of primary contour of the socket. Compare results of measurements to requirements of Specifications. The faulty coil is subject to replacement.

2. Not including ignition, connect an ohmmeter between VV (to which the wire going from a distributor cover is connected) and positive coil plugs. Compare results of measurements to requirements of Specifications. The faulty coil is subject to replacement.

REPLACEMENT

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.

If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery make sure that you have the correct combination for input of the audio system in action!
2. Disconnect an electrical wiring from the coil.

3. Disconnect VV the occasion going from a distributor cover.

4. Turn out fixing bolts and remove the coil from the engine.

5. Installation is made upside-down.

Before installation it is necessary to connect the socket of an electrical wiring of spark plugs to the coil (grease internal walls of a protective cover with dielectric silicone lubricant).

Models since 1995 of the issue.

CHECK

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. At the switched-off ignition disconnect an electrical wiring from the coil. Connect the positive probe of an ohmmeter to the plug No. 1, negative - the coil socket plug No. 2. The device has to show infinity. Change polarity of connection of the measuring instrument, - conductivity has to take place this time (but not zero resistance). At negative results of check replace the coil.

2. Connect an ohmmeter between the wire VV plug (going to a spark plug) and the plug No. 1. The measuring instrument has to register infinite resistance, otherwise replace the coil.
3. In a similar manner check a condition of coils of the remained spark plugs. Replace defective components.

3. Turn out fixing screws and remove the coil, having pulled it rotary motions up.

4. Installation is made upside-down.

Before installation grease internal walls of a protective cover with dielectric silicone lubricant.
