Check and adjustment of installations of a corner of an advancing of ignition

 The possibility of adjustment of installations of a corner of an advancing of ignition is provided only on models 1993 and 1994 of of the issue on models since 1995 by the issue the ignition advancing corner is not subject to adjustment, however check it allows to estimate serviceability of functioning of a control system of ignition.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. At the switched-off ignition according to instructions of manufacturers connect a stroboscope. On models 1993 and 1994 of of the issue the induction receiver of a stroboscope is connected to VV to a wire of a spark plug of the first cylinder. on models since 1995 the issue in a plait of an electrical wiring of the corresponding coil of ignition provided a special loop for connection of the induction sensor of a stroboscope.

 If the design of a stroboscope does not allow to connect it to an electrical wiring VV loop, remove the coil of the first spark plug. Restore initial connection of an electrical wiring, connect a candle wire between the coil and a spark plug and connect a stroboscope to it.

2. Cock the parking brake, prop up back wheels of the car antiretractable boots and transfer transmission to situation "P" or "N".
3. Find adjusting tags on a pulley of a bent shaft (the index is fixed on a GRM drive cover). VMT tag on a pulley is illuminated by yellow paint. On models 1993 and 1994 of of the issue the step of an arrangement of tags on a pulley makes 5 °, the tag of VMT is extreme left. Find a tag 15 ° before VMT. In case of need wipe a pulley for improvement of the review.

4. Start the engine and warm up it up to the normal working temperature (the top hose of a radiator has to become hot to the touch). Make sure of correctness of installation of turns of idling of the engine (see the Head of the Control system of the engine). Lift turns to value 2000 in a minute, then again dump them to single.
5. Direct a stroboscope beam to a pulley of a bent shaft and check installation of a corner of an advancing of ignition (the corresponding tag will settle down not movably opposite to the index).
6. On models 1993 and 1994 of of the issue in case of need weaken clamping a bolt of fastening of the distributor and, rotating the case of the last, make the corresponding correction of a corner of an advancing of ignition. Strongly tighten a bolt and repeat check.
7. On models since 1995 of the issue in case of violation of installation of a corner of an advancing of ignition check serviceability of functioning of sensors of provision of cranked and distributive shaft (see the Head of the Control system of the engine). If sensors as it should be, drive away the car on car repair shop for performing diagnostics and recovery repair of RSM.
8. Kill the engine and disconnect a stroboscope.
