1. Open a cowl, then cover wings with special overlays or just old blankets for protection them from damage to process of dismantle of a cowl.
2. Disconnect all cables and wires preventing removal of a cowl. Also disconnect from fixed in a cowl snuffled tubes of supply of liquid of washing of a windshield.

3. A marker or a chertilka lead round loopy levels for a guarantee of correctness of fastening of a cowl at assembly.

4. Ask the assistant to take a cowl and by means of a key turn out hinges of persistent racks from the cowl panel.

5. Without releasing the assistant, turn out fastening screws/bolts to a cowl of loopy levels. Together remove a cowl.
6. Installation is made upside-down. At installation to the place of an old cowl track that loopy levels were established taking into account the tags put in the course of dismantle. If replacement of a cowl is made, it is necessary to make adjustment of its situation (see below).

1. Adjustment of provision of a cowl in an aperture of a motive compartment is made by shift in the relevant party of loopy levels after weakening of their fixture.

If at manufacturer the self-centering bolts which are not allowing a possibility of carrying out similar adjustment are applied to fastening of levels, such fixture should be replaced with bolts of standard type, without having forgotten to equip them with flat and lock washers.

2. For control of size of shift lead round loopy levels a marker.
3. Weaken fixture and shift loops in the required direction (carry out adjustment without hurrying, in stages, slightly shifting levels of loops for each approach). Again tighten bolts, lower a cowl and check correctness of an arrangement it in an aperture.

4. Updating of the provision of assembly of a latch of the lock of a cowl on a basic plate of a radiator can be in case of need executed (in the vertical and horizontal planes), - the cowl has to be closed densely and fall aflush with the surfaces of wings. For adjustment of the lock lead round heads of bolts of fastening of assembly of a latch a marker or a chertilka, then weaken bolts and displace a latch in the required direction. Upon completion of adjustment strongly tighten fixing bolts.

5. In conclusion adjust the provision of rubber pillows of a cowl on the radiator support panel, trying to obtain that the cowl fell into a closed position aflush with the surfaces of wings.

6. Assembly of a latch of the lock of a cowl has to periodically (along with loops, - see the Section Service of Loops and Locks of the Car) to be greased with lubricant on a lithium basis in order to avoid jammings and premature wear.
