Check of a state and replacement of the sensor of a detonation

Sensors of a detonation react to the increase in intensity of vibrations of the engine which is usually caused by a detonation of air-fuel mix. On the basis of information of RSM obtained from the sensor corrects the ignition advancing moment, trying to support him at the greatest possible level guaranteeing sufficient efficiency of return of the engine. The sensor develops a signal of alternating current which amplitude increases in proportion to the level of vibrations. For compensation of detonations of RSM if necessary issues the command for moving of the moment of ignition towards delay. On models 1993 and 1994 of of the issue the sensor is installed on the right side of the engine, directly under a final collector. On models since 1995 the sensor is placed by the issue under the inlet pipeline.

CHECK

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

Disconnect an electrical wiring from the sensor. Measure resistance between two plugs of the contact socket of the sensor, - the ohmmeter has to register conductivity existence, otherwise replace the sensor.

Electric resistance of the sensor of a detonation is very high, use an ohmmeter which connecting electrical wiring is designed at least for 10 megohms.

REPLACEMENT

Models 1993 and 1994 of of the issue.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

Before starting implementation of the procedure, wait for full cooling of the engine.

1. Empty the cooling system (see the Head Nastroyki and routine maintenance).
2. The car also establish to Poddomkratta it on props
3. Disconnect an electrical wiring from the sensor of a detonation and release a plait from intermediate clamps.
4. Remove the sensor from the engine block.
5. Installation is made upside-down.
6. Do not forget to fill the cooling system (see the Head Nastroyki and routine maintenance).

Models since 1995 of the issue.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove both (top and lower) sections of the inlet pipeline (see the Part SOHC Engines of the Head Dvigatel).
2. Disconnect an electrical wiring from the sensor.

3. Turn out a fixing bolt and remove the sensor from the engine block.

4. Installation is made upside-down.
5. Install into place the inlet pipeline (see the Part SOHC Engines of the Head Dvigatel).
