Check of a state and replacement of the sensor switch of pressure in system of hydrostrengthening of a wheel (PSP)

PSP is normally opened sensor switch which is built in to the pressure head hydraulic line between a case of the steering mechanism and the steering pump. When pressure in a hydraulic path reaches a certain value, there is a short circuit of the sensor switch what RSM is right there notified on. Such tracking of a threshold pressure allows the module of management to modify turns of idling of the engine at commission of maneuvers in time. At identification of signs of refusal of functioning of the RSM sensor brings the corresponding code of malfunction in memory of the block of self-diagnostics. Check of a condition of the sensor switch should be made if the engine spontaneously becomes deaf during the parking of the car or when turns of idling are constantly overestimated.

CHECK

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

 Implementation of the procedure described below can lead to entering in memory of OBD of malfunction which will be highlighted by a control lamp "Check the engine". Upon completion of check and the corresponding recovery repair do not forget to clear memory of system (see the Section System of Onboard Diagnostics (OBD) - the principle of functioning and codes of malfunctions).

1. Disconnect an electrical wiring from the sensor switch and connect an ohmmeter to plugs on the assembly case.

2. Start the engine on single turns.

 Track that connecting wires did not get to contact with moving components in a motive compartment.

3. Bring forward wheels of the car into rectilinear situation and consider the indication of an ohmmeter which in this case has to equal infinity.
4. Rotating a steering wheel in any direction, watch indications of the measuring instrument. At approach of a steering wheel to any of extreme provisions the PSP sensor switch has to become isolated that is confirmed by indications of an ohmmeter, close to zero.
5. At negative results of check replace the sensor switch. If the sensor switch is serviceable, it is necessary to check settings of single turns of the engine. Also check the electrical wiring going from RSM for break. Estimate quality of grounding of a black wire of a plait of the sensor.

REPLACEMENT

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect an electrical wiring from the sensor switch
2. By means of two wrenches turn out the sensor switch from the connecting block.
3. Install the new sensor switch to the place of removed, connect an electrical wiring.
4. Remove from a hydraulic path of system of the steering amplifier air traffic jams (see the Head Podvesk and steering). In case of need correct the level of hydraulic liquid (see the Head Nastroyki and routine maintenance).
