1. Take from a tank assembly of a gasoline pump with fuel consumption sensor (see the Section Removal and installation of the fuel pump).
|
2. Connect an ohmmeter to the corresponding two plugs of the socket of the sensor. |
3. Lower an assembly float in extreme lower situation (an empty tank) and consider the indication of an ohmmeter. Compare the received result to requirements of Specifications. 4. Transfer a float to extreme top situation (a full tank) and repeat measurement. Again compare result to nominal rate. 5. If results of measurements exceed the limit of admissible ranges, or uniformity of change of indications at float shift is broken, assembly of the sensor should be replaced. 6. On models 1993 and 1994 of of the issue remove the fuel pump from the bearing arm and transfer it to new assembly (see the Section Removal and installation of the fuel pump). On models since 1995 of the issue transfer the fuel temperature sensor to new assembly. 7. Establish assembly on the regular place in a gasoline tank (do not forget to replace a sealing ring). 8. Further installation is made as it should be the return to an order of dismantle of components. |
