Removal and installation of camshafts and pushers of valves

Before extraction of camshafts from heads of cylinders it is necessary to measure the size of an axial side play of their landing.

REMOVAL

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.

If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery make sure that you have the correct combination for input of the audio system in action!

2. Uncover a head of cylinders (see the Section Removal and installation of covers of heads of cylinders).
3. Remove chains and asterisks of the GRM drive (see the Section Removal, check of a state and installation of a chain and asterisks of the GRM drive).
4. Mark covers of bearings of camshafts. Moving as it should be the return shown on an illustration, in 2 ÷ 3 reception weaken bolts of fastening of covers.

5. Uncover bearings and take camshafts from heads of cylinders.

Put uncovered in an organized order, - at assembly they have to be established in strictly on the former provisions. Pay attention to presence on shaft of identification marking.

6. Take from heads of cylinders pushers assembled with the adjusting washers established on them.

Put the pushers taken from the engine in an organized order - at assembly they have to be established strictly on the former places.

INSTALLATION

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Establish pushers of valves assembled with adjusting washers strictly on the former places.
2. Grease cams and bearing necks of camshafts with molibdensoderzhashchy lubricant.

3. Bring shaft on the former places to the corresponding heads of cylinders and develop them the directing pins up and parallel to a number of cylinders.

4. Impose RTV sealant on the interfaced surface of covers of the first bearings.

5. Establish covers of bearings, screw and by hand tighten bolts of their fastening.

6. Moving in strictly certain order, in stages tighten bolts of fastening of covers of bearings with the required effort.

7. Install into place GRM drive components (chains and asterisks) (see the Section Removal, check of a state and installation of a chain and asterisks of the GRM drive). Blocking camshafts from a provorachivaniye Rozhkov a key, tighten bolts of fastening of asterisks with the required effort.
8. Further installation is made as it should be the return to an order of dismantle of components. If replacement of components of the valvate mechanism was made, execute check and adjustment of valvate gaps (see the Section Check and adjustment of gaps of valves).
