Replacement of a forward epiploon of a bent shaft

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove a pulley of a bent shaft (see the Section Removal and installation of a pulley of a bent shaft).

2. Having accurately hooked two screw-drivers or big mount, take a forward epiploon of a bent shaft from the landing nest in a forward cover of the GRM drive, - try not to damage a shaft pin.

3. Clean walls of a landing nest, having completely removed from them traces of corrosion and fragments of an old epiploon. Fill in a nest a new epiploon (sponges inside), previously having oiled its external surface motive.

4. Having used a deep face head of the corresponding size, or a piece of a pipe of suitable diameter as a mandrel, begin to knock an epiploon in a landing nest against the stop in a cover flange.

5. Estimate a condition of a sealing surface of a damping nave of a pulley of a bent shaft. In case of identification of the furrows pierced by an epiploon execute necessary recovery repair, having pressed the additional plug in a nave.

Landing of the repair plug is made rather just by means of wooden whetstone and the hammer.

6. Oil sponges new an epiploon pure motive, then establish into place a pulley of a bent shaft. Screw a fixing bolt and tighten it with the required effort.
7. Installation of the remained components is made as it should be the return to an order of their dismantle. Track that all fixture was tightened with the required effort.
8. Start the engine and check it for existence of signs of leak of oil around a forward cover of the GRM drive.
