Adjustment of a pedal of a foot brake

Adjusting height of a pedal in the released state

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Unbend a carpet and an insulating overlay of the panel of a floor. At completely released pedal of a foot brake measure distance from a surface of a rubber overlay of a block of a pedal to a floor surface.

2. Compare result of measurement to requirements of Specifications. In case of need make the corresponding adjustment (see further).

3. Weaken a lock-nut behind a cutting finger of a pusher of the vacuum amplifier of brakes.

4. Rotation of a rod of a pusher achieve the required result.
5. Tighten a lock-nut.
6. Having finished adjustment, check the size of a free wheeling of a pedal.

Free wheeling of a pedal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Slightly press a pedal down and measure the size of its course until emergence of resistance to squeezing. Compare result of measurement to requirements of Specifications, in case of need make the corresponding adjustment.

2. Weaken a lock-nut of a cutting finger of a pusher of the vacuum amplifier.
3. Rotation of a rod achieve the required result.
4. Tighten a lock-nut.

Height of provision of a pedal in the squeezed-out state

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. At the working engine completely squeeze out a pedal of a foot brake and measure distance from a surface of a rubber overlay of its block to a floor.
2. If height of provision of the squeezed-out pedal appears below an admissible limit (see Specifications), check the brake system for existence of signs of development of leaks or mechanical damages of components.
