Removal, service and installation of the K/V compressor

The air conditioning system constantly is under high pressure. Do not disconnect refrigerator lines at all and do not remove any components of system, previously without having executed a discharge of the last. The discharge of the air conditioning system has to be made by forces of the skilled expert in the conditions of a workshop of car service. At a rassoyedineniye of refrigerator lines surely put on goggles!

When replacing components of the air conditioning system the certain amount of replaceable refrigerator oil necessary for filling of volume of new knot will be required. Use only the oil good for the use in the R-134a systems (attentively study the label on a container).

1. Make a discharge of the air conditioning system in the conditions of a specialized workshop.
2. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.

If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery make sure that you have the correct combination for input of the audio system in action!

3. Cock the parking brake, prop up back wheels antiretractable boots, then a front of the car and establish to a poddomkratta it on props.
4. Remove a driving compressor belt (see the Head Nastroyki and routine maintenance).

5. Disconnect refrigerator lines from the compressor. At once to a zakuporta the open ends of tubes and unions in order to avoid hit in system of dirt and moisture.

6. Disconnect an electrical wiring from the compressor, then give fixing bolts and remove assembly from a basic arm.

The top fixing bolts can be turned out not up to the end and left in assembly of the compressor before its extraction from the car.



On the considered models of cars one of three types of the К/В compressors is used.

Replacement of a clutch coupling of the compressor


1. Turn out the central bolt, having stopped a coupling disk a wrench. The coupling can be removed by means of a special extractor.

2. Bend a tag of a lock washer down, give a lock-nut and remove a pulley.

3. If on the interfaced surface signs of damage or traces of an overheat are visible, the drive plate of the coupling and a pulley have to be replaced.
4. Before installation wipe the interfaced pulley surface with solvent.
5. Check a condition of a spiral, - pay attention to existence of signs of weakening of contact and damage of isolation.

6. At installation it is necessary to adjust a gap between a disk and a pulley by selection of adjusting washers, - use the measuring instrument of gaps between electrodes of spark plugs.

7. When replacing a clutch coupling of the compressor do not forget to make its running in, - the compressor has to be switched on not less than 30 times.
8. In the course of a running in there is an accumulation of torque of the coupling. Do not allow hit in the compressor of foreign materials.



1. Do not forget to transfer a clutch coupling from the old compressor to new.
2. Add in system necessary amount of fresh refrigerator oil, proceeding from the following data:

a) Merge coolant from the compressor removed from the car and measure its volume;
b) Merge the coolant which is present at new assembly;
c) If the amount of the oil merged from the old block made 90 ÷ 150 ml, fill in the same amount of fresh coolant in the new compressor;
d) If from the old compressor less than 90 ml of oil were merged, fill in in new 90 ml;
e) If the amount of the oil merged from the old block exceeded 150 ml, it is necessary to fill in 150 ml of coolant in new assembly.
3. Installation is made upside-down. Do not forget to replace sealing rings of nipple connections of refrigerator lines. Before installation of a ring refrigerator should oil. Remark: Do not forget to put in the compressor two top fixing bolts before new assembly is put on the car.
4. Make charging of system and its check on leaks in the conditions of a specialized workshop.
