Removal and installation of camshafts and pushers of valves

Pushers of valves

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Uncover a head of cylinders (see the Section Removal and installation of covers of heads of cylinders) and take assemblies of yokes with axes (see the Section Removal, check of a state and installation of assembly of yokes).

2. For fixing of pushers in the guide, put on them rubber bandages.

Immediately return incidentally dropped out pushers to the corresponding nests of assembly of a guide.

3. Remove assembly of a guide of pushers.

4. Serially take pushers from the nests in a guide and put them in an organized manner - at assembly each pusher has to be established strictly on the former place.

In order to avoid formation of air traffic jams, try not to put pushers sideways and not to overturn them upside down. Alternatively pushers should be put in the capacities filled with pure motive oil.

5. Having filled a pusher in the landing nest, drown the speaker from his top end face a plunger. If the course of a plunger exceeds 1 mm, so at a pusher there is an air.
6. In the presence of suspicions on hit in a pusher of air establish to the place of assembly of yokes with axes and a cover of a head of cylinders.
7. For removal of air from pushers start the engine with a frequency of 1000 rpm and let's it work without loading within about 10 minutes.
8. Again uncover a head of cylinders and take assemblies of yokes with axes and repeat the procedure described in paragraph 5. If it was not succeeded to remove air from a pusher, replace it new.
9. Estimate degree of wear of the pushers removed from the engine (see the Part the General capital repairs of the engine of the present Chapter).
10. Installation is made upside-down, forget to oil before landing pushers motive.

Camshafts

REMOVAL

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove from the engine of a head of cylinders (see the Section Removal and installation of heads of cylinders).

2. Turn out fixing bolts and, having accurately hooked, remove about the camshaft cover plate turned towards transmission of a head end face.

3. Holding a shaft for lysk from a provorachivaniye, release a bolt of its fastening. Turn out a bolt and remove a persistent plate.

4. Having accurately hooked the small screw-driver, take a camshaft epiploon from the landing nest, - try not to damage a pin.

Push-up of a shaft through an opening in a persistent plate will facilitate the procedure of extraction of an epiploon.

5. Carefully holding a shaft since both ends and making rotary motions, take it from a head of cylinders.

Try not to allow damages of bearings and cams of a shaft. The description of procedures of check of a condition of a shaft and its bearings is provided in the Part DOHC Engines of the present Chapter.

INSTALLATION

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Grease bearing necks of a shaft with molibdensoderzhashchy lubricant, then accurately fill assembly on the regular place in a head of cylinders, - try not to damage bearing surfaces.
2. Establish into place a persistent plate of the camshaft, screw a back bolt and tighten it with the required effort.
3. Having established a shaft in a head of cylinders, measure the size of its axial side play (see the Part the General capital repairs of the engine of the present Chapter).

4. If the axial side play of a shaft goes beyond admissible limits, it is necessary to pick up a new persistent plate. Measure thickness of an old plate and pick up new of reasons of reduction of an axial side play of a shaft in norm.

5. Establish a new epiploon of the camshaft. Further assembly of a head of cylinders is made as it should be the return to an order of dismantle of components. The description of the procedure of installation of a head is provided in the Section Removal and installation of heads of cylinders.

Replacement of epiploons of camshafts

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Replacement of epiploons of camshafts can be made also without dismantle of the last. Will be to take off only a gas-distributing belt and the corresponding cogwheels of the GRM drive enough. Extraction of old epiploons is made by a poddevaniye by their screw-driver, - try not to damage pins of shaft.

2. Landing of epiploons is made by means of a special mandrel as which the face head of the corresponding size, or a piece of a pipe of suitable diameter can be used. The epiploon has to be put in the nest strictly perpendicularly. Continue an epiploon press fitting until it does not rest against a nest bottom in a body of a head of cylinders.
