Installation of a back epiploon of a bent shaft


1. On all engines considered in the present manual the single-section back epiploon of a bent shaft which is located in a nest of the special holder in turn fastening to the block is used. Before pribolchivat to the engine the holder with the new epiploon established in it, establish into place a bent shaft and covers of radical bearings / their connecting bridge.
2. Carefully check the shaft pin surface contacting to an epiploon for existence of the scratches, zadir and other defects capable to lead to failure of a new epiploon. Replace the damaged shaft.

3. Measure the regular depth of landing of an old epiploon in the holder's nest, then lay the holder's plate edges on pair of wooden blocks of equal height, and by means of a suitable drift and the hammer beat out an old epiploon from the nest. Try not to damage nest walls.

4. Carefully wipe the holder, then grease the outer edge of a new epiploon with pure motive oil. The epiploon has to be put in a nest strictly perpendicularly therefore it is not recommended to zastukivat it in the holder the hammer. In the absence of access to a press the epiploon can be filled in a nest by means of a big vice with soft sponges. The holder with an epiploon have to be clamped between two flat wooden whetstones providing uniform distribution of loading on all area of a face surface of an epiploon. As a last resort, use of the hammer is allowed, however the zastukivaniye has to be made through flat wooden whetstone. Act slowly, you watch that there was no distortion.

5. Before putting on assembly of the holder with an epiploon a pin of a bent shaft, grease epiploon sponges with universal lubricant. On the considered engines the holder is put on the engine without laying, - instead it is necessary to impose a uniform pillow of RTV sealant on its interfaced surface. Do not forget to establish the directing pins on the regular places.
6. Having pressed the holder closely to the block, by hand acquire bolts of its fastening, make sure of correctness of installation of the holder, then tighten bolts with the required effort.
